RSS (abreviation for Really Simple Syndication) is a technology that allows users to subscribe to the contents of a website - or parts thereof.
By means of RSS, newly published contents on ifm's website are automatically downloaded to your computer at regular intervals. This way you are automatically and conveniently provided with all the latest information about ifm.
 To download the headlines and organise the collected articles you need a so-called "newsreader" or "feedreader".
Such programs are partly already integrated in the web browser, for example in Mozilla Firefox, as an extension, e.g. Wizz RSS extension, or in the new Internet Explorer 7 soon. And sometimes external programs are used for reading and managing RSS feeds, for example the freeware program FeedReader.
